Alastair Dyer (also known as Blodney Treehut) was featured prominently on the cover of the 'Listener' magazine of June 1983. He constructed and flew hang gliders, was a Microlight pilot, designed and constructed two geodesic domes, and was employed for 21 years at the University of Canterbury as a drafting technician. Alastair was a broadcaster on the Plains FM 96.9 Step Ahead Radio Show for several years; he played guitar, octapad and tongue drum, and was a draftsman for Science Alive!
