2008 Exhibit of Vintage Antique Valentine's Day Cards

In early Jan. 2008 we discovered a large collection of vintage Valentine's Day cards posted by a Flickr.com member.  The Creative Commons License permits us to copy and exhibit the cards.  We have chosen about 30 of them to create a new 2008 Exhibit of Vintage Valentine's Day Cards.  Our thanks to Flickr and its member for making this exhibit possible.

At the end of this exhibit, there is a link to the Flickr member's complete collection of vintage Valentine's Day cards.  There is also a link to our original 2001 exhibit of Antique Valentine's Day Cards, courtesy of Robin Whittle of Australia.

 The word "affinity," meaning "natural attraction" (as though 
by family), is believed to have been in use from 1616
