Uppal received her Bachelors in Fine Arts with silver medal and Masters in Fine Art with distinction and gold medal from Punjab University, Pakistan.  She is a lecturer and teacher, a designer cum visualizer in a software house, and a web site developer.  Painting is Uppal's real passion, where she expresses her sensitivities, emotions, and observations on canvas, with a preference for gouache and watercolor media.  She has participated in solo and national level exhibitions.
