Martine Saura is an artist and poet, and teaches and writes about Taoism.

"I was born in North Africa, lived my youth in Latin America, I also lived in North America [and] France and [now live in] Quebec... in short, I am uprooted and I do not live it too well.  But the pessimism layed on a canvas ends up discouraging me, so, since I admire life in his misery and in his splendour, I apply myself as a schoolgirl to filter only the love I have for it.

"This step is not free. Since I cultivate in me with tenderness this feeling, I authorized myself to dream that it will give as much pleasure to others as I have doing them.  Pleasure... but also incite a certain reflexion on the direction one can give to existence.

"I often heard that life was simple and could be summarized in few words, but yet I will soon reach a half century of age, I feel internally arched by seeking and drawing the secrecies of the existence.

"With smiles, my glance is still a tear tinted on paper."
