Antoine de Villiers was born in South Africa.  She has been a full-time artist since 1996, devoting her talent and energy to fine art shows, galleries, and commission work.  In 2003, Antoine relocated to the United States to work on new mediums of expression, which include fine art photography, modern abstract art, and figurative and abstract marble sculpting.

Her great passion lies within expressionistic art which uses the emotionality of the female as a theme.  Antoine states in her newsletter "I am often described as being 'too emotional' (like most females maybe) but what is left if one cannot experience to the fullest?  I see creating as a type of spiritual therapy and by expressing the moment in the most honest way possible is what I experience as beauty.  By allowing oneself to recognize, feel and then express in sheer honesty is what I see as spiritual growth."

Her art work has been exhibited extensively in the United Kingdom, United States, and South Africa, through solo and group exhibitions and in galleries.

Antoine said, "Nude figure studies are certainly one of my preferred themes.  To me, there is nothing more sensitive, powerful, and honest."
