Joop Frohwein, born in The Hague, Netherlands, in 1952, is a former ceramist/ceramics teacher.  His paintings have been sold in Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States, and by Christie's in London.

The review of Frohwein's paintings by Julie Parry, below, has been edited.

"There is a magnitude of realms that clarify an artist from a painter . . . Joop Frohwein has conquered the artistry realms with paintings that combine reality with surreality inviting an onlooker to relish each canvas with individual awe and delight.  His ability to invoke an inner calmness with a fantastic heavenly tinge . . . offer you an insight into a world that dreams are made of.  A complex simplicity full of hope and inspiration, his artistry is overwhelmingly magical.  He currently resides in Antalya, Turkey with memories of a life less than ordinary, a need to discover pastures new and maintain an equilibrium in a world that is full of undiscovered adventure.  His paintings are no mere utilization of wall space for they fill an empty place in everyone's heart."
