Mercedes Fariña was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October 1976.  She has an art degree from the University of Buenos Aires, and teaches and lectures about drawing and painting at the Collection National Museum of Beautiful Arts ("Colección Museu Nacional de Bellas Artes") in Buenos Aires.  [With apologies for translation.]
