In September 2005 Dang was awarded, for the second time, the title of Fine-Work Artist by Japan's Shutai Art Association and was selected to become its first foreign member.  In 2007, Dang received the "Outstanding Rising Artist Award" given by Sompo Japan Fine-Art Foundation of Tokyo.  In 2004, the medal "For the cause of Vietnamese Fine Arts" was awarded to Dang by the Vietnam Fine-Art Association.

His works have been shown in Russia, Vietnam, and Japan, and are in private collections in Austria, England, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, and Vietnam.
