Mrs. Elahe Djavaheri is the manager of the Elahe Gallery (established Feb 1999) who herself has been painting for many years.  She believes that Iranian artists are not well recognized by art lovers from other countries, so she started her website to:

    Introduce professional painters of her country, their works of art, and their enthusiasm for combining modern art and original Iranian art.

    Introduce newcomers and amateurs who will build the next generation of Iranian original art.

Elahe Gallery exhibits the works of about 200 Iranian artists.  From the myriad number of images shown at Elahe's website, we selected one image by 12 artists to include in this 3-page exhibit.  The selections carry out our intent to publish images that are original, unusual, diverse, and out-of-the-mainstream.
