Images of Eyes Gallery
International Open Call for Artists

Page updated June 29, 2009

Visitors from more than 180 countries have viewed more than 11,200,000 gallery pages of works by about 200 artists.  We are grateful for your support and thank you for your visits.

Peteris Ciemitis of Australia answered this call for artists on May 3, 2009.  On May 22, we published our exhibit of Peteris Ciemitis' paintings.  The exhibit includes his portrait of Paul Grabowsky, a finalist entry in the $50,000 Archibald Prize of 2008.

If you respond to this call, please be assured that all responses are read and that your art work is viewed and considered for exhibition, but a personal acknowledgement or reply is not always possible.  If, however, there is interest in exhibiting your work, you can expect an email saying so within 7-10 days.

There must be an eye somewhere!

Where most art websites exhibit a wide variety of works, the Images of Eyes Gallery exhibits ONLY images that include an eye, or at least suggest the presence of an eye.  If your artwork does not do this, it has no chance of being exhibited.  For example, a landscape painting with no person visible in it would not be considered.  Please read our About Us and Site Map sections--they explain gallery concept and content, and include other items of interest which are not repeated here.

Personal preferences

Sorry, but we do not exhibit abstract paintings, anime, pop art, or framed paintings.

Take a look at recently-published exhibits

The works in some recent exhibits show the type and quality of images exhibited.  They will give you an idea of what we publish.  Take a look--you are only one click away.

Pastel painting entitled Portrait of
My Mother by artist Helge Jensen of DenmarkThe image on this page is entitled "Portrait of My Mother."  It is one of the pastel paintings included in our exhibit of the works by Helge Jensen of Denmark, another artist who responded to this call.  While not a recent exhibit, its popularity has not diminished.

Open call for artists in all media

All art must be your own original work.  If accepted, your art work will be featured on the homepage for about two weeks.  The works selected become a permanent exhibit.

The exhibit includes your contact information, such as email address and website address, so interested viewers or prospective buyers can contact you directly.  Your phone number and address can be included if you wish.  We do not buy or sell anything, or act as agent, broker, or middleman.

No red tape.  There is no registration, no agreement to sign.  There is no cost to you.

Tell us about your art work in an email

1.  Include a website address or other URL address where your works can be viewed.

2.  Tell us what country you are from.  Many artists' biographies or their websites lack this information.  If we don't know where you were born (or the country you wish to be associated with), we cannot exhibit your works, because all exhibits are arranged alphabetically by country name.

3.  DO NOT send jpg (jpeg) image files unless we ask for them.

To send the email, all you have to do is   That's all there is to it.  Could it be any easier?
