The portrait paintings in this exhibit are of the people of Namibia, and were painted by artist Stephen Bennett of the United States.  Namibia is located in Southern Africa, bordering the South Atlantic Ocean, between Angola and South Africa, and is about half the size of Alaska.

Bennett's exhibit of his Namibian paintings was held at the Cultural Heritage Center in Arusha, Tanzania, from June - September 2002.
