Jirí Anderle was born in 1936.  He was graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts in 1961.  His style of graphic art and drawing was formed during his professional activity in the Black Theatre where, on numerous travels all over the world, he worked as a technician and as an actor.  He achieved worldwide fame in the mid sixties.  From 1969-1973, Jirí was an assistant to Zdenek Sklenar and Jirí Trnka at the College of Applied Arts in Prague.
