Images of Eyes Gallery
Page updated Apr 28, 2008
Original
concept gallery. The Images of Eyes Gallery is
the internet's only fine art gallery that exhibits images and paintings of eyes by international
artists. There are two distinctly different and separate galleries with a connecting subject theme:
each image in both galleries has one or more eyes, or at least suggests the presence of an eye!
The gallery exhibits include original, diverse, and eclectic collections of oil and watercolor
paintings and portraits, lithographs and contemporary art work, nude paintings and other fine
art content, by emerging, established, and master artists from Algeria to Zimbabwe. Some images
are from private collections; some made their debut in this gallery. It is our hope that the
exhibition here of an artist's works will promote, publicize, and enhance the artist's career.
Search engine users looking for artwork often find us first as we are top ranked
by Google, Yahoo, MSN Live, Ask, Lycos, and others, for a myriad number of art-related
search terms. Exhibits in the gallery represent artists from Algeria to Zimbabwe. The gallery is international in
scope and interest -- visitors from more than 180 countries have viewed more
than 8.8 million gallery pages. Without your eyes to look at
these pages, there would be no images of eyes.
Thanks for looking. Merci! Danke! Grazie! Gracias!

If you contact us, be assured your email and your email address are not given to or shared with anyone.

Disclaimer. The Images of Eyes Gallery has numerous links to other websites. There are numerous links from other websites to this one. We wish to gently remind you that we are not responsible for the content of other websites.
Browser and other annoyances. We do not use pop-ups or pop-unders as they are intrusive, annoying, and distracting. We don't use Flash (whose main purpose is to annoy people), animated content, or video or audio because they may take a long time to load and everyone has different tastes. Your browser can't get "caught in frames" as we do not use frames. We do not use a frozen layout intended for a specific monitor size or screen size; the width of our pages increases or decreases to accommodate the window size you are using. We do not disable the function of your back button, open linked material in a new window, or do anything to alter the behavior of your browser or printer.
Image
considerations. We do everything
reasonably possible to minimize
image load time. In some cases we have compressed the images, or
cropped or resized them, or both, while retaining the best possible image quality and
appearance. Many images in the older exhibits (earlier 2000 years) were limited to 600 pixels wide to eliminate the annoyance
of horizontal scrolling for the smaller displays (640x480) that most viewers
then used. Today, most viewers use at least 1024x768 pixels
resolution; and higher resolution images are used for
your enjoyment.
Association with others. We have no financial interest, connection, or affiliation with any artist or any website mentioned in these pages; we do not participate in any affiliate program. We do not act as an agent or buy or sell any art work.
Commercial content. We participate in Google's AdSense program, but the ads are placed only at the top and bottom of selected pages. There is no other commercial content.

"What Every Artist Should Know About Copyright," written by Leonard DuBoff, dated Mar 27, 2008, is an excellent article on the subject. Go to http://www.artistsnetwork.com/article/Leonard-DuBoff-Copyright/. |
The art work, paintings, and images
are Copyright © by the artists whose names appear in the gallery. The works
exhibited in the galleries have been provided by the artists who kindly gave
permission to show them. Copyright and all rights therein are maintained
by the artists, even though they are reproduced here electronically.
These works may not be copied or reposted without the written permission
of the copyright holder.
The fact that an image has been posted on the internet is in itself a clear message that the artist wants the image to be seen, and that he or she is not interested in collecting a fee each time someone takes a look at it. However, this does not mean that ordinary copyright concepts have ceased to apply: there is still someone who has the copyright to the work. Please respect the owners' rights. The current copyright holder is indicated in the artist's exhibit.
You cannot do any of the following, unless you get the artist's written permission:
